Being new to the “city life” has opened my eyes to so many style possibilities. After touring multiple neighborhoods of San Francisco, I started to realize that each neighborhood has its own vibe and style. The Marina and Cow Hollow feel much more “pretty” and “girly” or high style so to speak, where as the Mission has more of a hipster feel.
I have rounded up 20 different fall/winter street styles that are really in right now. One theme with all of the different styles seems to be dark jeans/pants, leather jackets, ponchos/capes.
I am in love with all of these trends right now, and very excited to have been gifted 3 different ponchos for Christmas. One of my favorite things about the San Francisco style is a lot of black, brown and grey. People in the city find ways to be colorful and showcase certain accessories that show off their personality. But it is not uncommon to see a full black boots, black jeans, grey sweater, black leather jacket look inside the city.
I fell in love with these fresh takes on winter street style all found in San Francisco!
Outside Lands is a fantastic music festival held in San Francisco and these two ladies nailed the festival style! Over-sized ponchos layered are perfect for the ever-changing weather in the city. I found similar ponchos here and here, and their black hat here.
This coat is beautiful and a closet staple and I found one that looks just like it here!
This is the perfect comfy look for weekends in San Francisco! I found an identical cozy grey sweater here.
What are your thoughts on the plaid shirts mixed with leather jackets? Do you prefer the over sized poncho/cape look to the more form-fitting leather jacket look? I would love to hear any style tips you have for dressing warm and stylish in the city!
